Visit to Livada Izola Primary School
On Thursday, May 10, 2024, we were happy to host 7th and 9th grade students at the Bočić Farm. Our farm in Koštabona was full of curious young visitors who came to learn about the importance of agriculture and sustainable work in nature.
The students first saw the beautiful flowering of almonds, where we talked together about the importance of almonds in the local economy and their health benefits. The colorful flowers added a very special charm to the visit.
Then we got down to practical work – pruning olives and vines. Under our guidance, the students learned the correct pruning techniques, which is crucial for healthy plant development and crop quality. We were impressed by their interest and active cooperation, as we created a pleasant working atmosphere together.
At the end, the students tried their hand at tying vines. With this task, they learned about additional aspects of viticulture and understood how these activities contribute to successful marketing and the preservation of agricultural traditions in our region.
The students’ visit brought us great joy, as we were able to share our knowledge and love for nature. Sincere thanks to all the students for visiting and their teacher for the organization! We hope we have inspired them to explore agriculture and nature in the future.
