Do you know the difference between integrated and organic farming?

Integrated production is a more environmentally friendly method of production. By using natural resources and mechanisms that reduce the negative impacts of farming on the environment and human health, high-quality agricultural products are produced.

balanced implementation of agrotechnical measures, taking into account economic, ecological and toxicological factors,
preference is given to natural measures over phytopharmaceutical and biotechnological measures, in which the same economic effect is sought to be achieved,
production without the use of genetically modified organisms,
controlled use of fertilizers and phytopharmaceuticals,
promotion and preservation of biodiversity with appropriate methods of plant protection (biotic protection),
fertilization with organic fertilizers has priority over fertilization with mineral fertilizers,
regular analysis before fertilizing,
controlled production and certification of crops, which enables tracking in traffic and at the same time gives consumers the assurance that the products meet higher quality standards

Organic agriculture is a form of farming where plant production and animal husbandry complement each other and thus follow natural methods and the circulation of substances in nature. In addition to the production of high-quality and safe food, organic agriculture means sustainable management of natural resources and enforcement of the principle of animal welfare.

The use of easily soluble mineral fertilizers, chemically synthesized phytopharmaceuticals (pesticides), genetically modified organisms and products obtained from these organisms, and various growth regulators is not permitted.

At the same time, uninterrupted and transparent control over the production and processing of crops or foodstuffs from the field to the plate is ensured, which represents an even greater assurance to consumers that they are choosing safe foodstuffs.

With the help of organic farming, farms can create higher added value not only for their products but also for other alternative activities on farms where there are still many untapped opportunities (for example tourism on organic farms, complementary activities and so on).
